4 oz. bottle Graphite is an awesome lubricant to use at high temperatures. Molybdenum disulfide is a metallic compound that increases the lubricating property of graphite. The particles of molybdenum disulfide act as microscopic "ball bearings", and keep the graphite spread out for even lubrication. Instructions: This bottle should last the average blacksmith more than a year. Add contents of bottle with a bottle of water in a sealed container. Makes 1 pint. Stir well then dip the tooling. Remember that a little goes a long way. MSDS available on request.
Strong enough for a power Hammer, Specially formulated for a press! This is a specially formulated, hand-mixed Top Secret forging lubricant that has been used in the tool making shops at Big BLU for years. It is pre-mixed and ready to use in any application where you need reduced tractionability of your dies. It will ease strain on your machine, make your forging cleaner, and keep your dies from wearing under extreme pressure. Instructions: Apply a thin coating to your dies once they are warm. This can be done every heat or once every few heats as needed. This calcium-based lubricant is safe to spray, but can also be brushed on the dies, and dies can be submerged in it (provided that tool can be quenched). As an added bonus, this BLU Lubricant is BLUE! And it will turn your dies blue as long as they are not over 450 degrees. If they are too hot the lubricant will turn brown. This can be used to indicate whether or not those dies are over heated.
