Crown Dies are used to great advantage for free hand sculptural work.
These act like the pein of your hand hammer, you are able to control the movement of metal in any direction.
The crown dies and the combo dies are a must have for the artist blacksmith.

Creative use of dies:
There are times when matching top and bottom dies are not exactly right for the work.
Consider using a small crown die in the top with a combination or curved die in the bottom.
Curved or combo dies in the top with flat in the bottom is another popular combination.
Note that our dies are commonly used for cold texturing and thin work where the dies are often touching.
This requires the best tool steel hardened and tempered to the optimum condition.
Things you seen done with our dies will wreck dies of lesser quality.

Reverse Radius Dies: $415 USD
These 5" (127mm) long mated curved surface dies will quickly produce cupped rail or other curved shapes.
By rotating the work on the long axis you can form larger curved widths.
The shape of these dies are CNC machined and then carefully hand dressed by professionals.
Bottom die is 2.75" (70mm) wide. Top radius = 1.25" (32mm)

Beveling Dies: $380 USD
These 5" (127mm) sloped surface dies will quickly produce beveled edges on any size stock.
Great for hinges, rails, flinch plates. . .
Two different slopes, 1 : 5 and 1 : 3.33, for low sharp or high steep bevels.
The Beveling set comes with our standard radius side die for the bottom.
